Jason Darr of NEUROSONIC

1. If I knew absolutely nothing about Neurosonic, how would you describe the group’s music to me?
-- Its like the beatles meets nine inch nails

2. If I were to buy your new album Drama Queen, what songs should I pay particular attention to and why?
-- The entire record is amazing. Start at the top and go to the end. Not enough bands make "records" anymore.

3. When and where did the band form, and where did the name come from? -- Neurosonic was my baby from the beginning. I made the record first, and then, with the vision in place, recruited my band. We are based in Vancouver Canada. The name neurosonic was our brainstorm. We wanted to convey the idea of sound causing a reaction in the brain...

4. What was your worst on stage experience? What was your best?
-- The worst stage experience ever was in agora hills ca. By far the worst performance ever. We had to stop the last song and start over... The best times are the family values tour... Everyday it just keeps getting better.

5. Do you think that the Internet (whether it be Internet radio, legal downloading, MySpace, streaming audio, etc.) is a good tool for musicians or is it a bad thing because it hinders profits?
-- I think there is a big picture that is lost on people. Sure, maybe kid rock has his millions and he doesn't need any more money. that's not the problem. The problem is that record companies take profits from a project like kid rock and spend it on bands that are just getting started. If the record company doesn't see that profit from the kid rock record, they won't spend the money on new and up and coming act. This will eventually be the end of quality music. Its killing bands before they get a chance to be established financially. On the other hand, it just might weed out the very average bands that take up shelf space at music stores...
